AEESEAP was introduced at the Annual Conference of KSEE 2012Hajime Fujita, Deputy Secretary General of AEESEAP

The Annual Conference 2012 of KSEE（Korean Society for Engineering Education）was held on November 21 to 23, 2012 in Seoul. President of JSEE, Prof. Matsumoto received the invitation letter but his schedule did not allow him to attend the conference, neither Prof. Takei, the Director of International Affairs of JSEE and the President of AEESEAP was available. Therefore Mr. Kemmochi, the Executive Director of JSEE and the Secretary General of AEESEAP. and Dr. Fujita, Deputy Secretary General of AEESEAP and former Director for International Affairs of JSEE, attended the conference.
Dr. Fujita presented a paper entitled “Present status and future plan of engineering education in Japan” at the Plenary Session of the Conference, and International Session of the Conference, there were to papers presented as follows.
(1) Mr. Kemmochi: The Outline of JSEE. (2) Dr. Fujita: Present status of AEESEAP.
About the AEESEAP, the original purpose of establishment and recent activities were explained. Especially the Workshop held in Manila, Philippines in 2010 for joining Washington Accord, and activity plans in 2012 t0 2014 were described in detail.
The venue, KINTEX（Korean International Exhibition Center）was located in the north west suburb of Seoul, and simultaneously held 2012 Engineering Education Festa was in large scale. Students of more than 100 engineering universities showed various demonstration equipment such as robot, vehicles and PC software, and it was vivid as if university festivals. There were several foreign universities and from Japan, Shibaura Institute of Technology and Kanazawa Institute of Technology displayed there results.
As for the Workshop and the Executive Committee Meeting of AEESEAP 2013, Prof. Choi of KSEE representative for AEESEAP, promised us that they will decide the place and the dates by the end of 2012. Later, Prof. Choi sent us note that these meetings should be held on November 21-22, 2013， at Jesu Island of Korea. Details of the workshop and the meeting will be decided later and it will be notified to the representatives of the member countries as well as to be posted on the web site.
